Welcome to the YPLA
The Young People’s Leadership Academy (YPLA) is an innovative performance and development programme created for young people around ages 14 – 24.
We work with all categories of young people and equip them with the necessary tools to adapt to any given situation and to be responsible for their own actions.
The YPLA is a formidable force in transforming attitudes and behaviour. It assists practical results and achievements, but adopts business techniques previously exclusive to top performing business professionals. It combines a unique blend of top class professional coaching, mentoring and training, which in turn, promotes high levels of motivation, performance and success.
YPLA provides young people with the tools necessary to make good decisions and facilitates the self-leadership skills needed to be successful. It also covers areas identified within the ‘Every Child Matters’ government programme – see the panel on the right.
Working with organisations close to young people, YPLA explores areas such as basic communication skills, confidence, theory of behaviour, leadership as an action, personal development and growth, problem-solving and forming effective habits.
It utilises the M7 performance system for high effectiveness levels, compiled by Matrix7 Ltd, together with other practical and relevant tools to facilitate change and personal growth and adapts the work of Professor John Adair and Professor Stephen Covey for use in real life and current situations.
All Programmes can be tailored to meet individual needs. This means they can range in length and intensity to fit with the agreed outcomes, making them suitable for nearly everyone!
